Woo Hoo! 28 weeks! & some fun pics!

Well, here we are...28 weeks! I suppose that means that I'm actually 7 months pregnant! Wow! Only 3 more months left, which means 84 days. Craaaazzzzy!! Everything is looking/sounding good according to our last dr. appt. which was on Monday. Dr. said my stomach is measuring right on track at 28 weeks and Madelyn's heart beat was 158. Nice and healthy! Additionally, I tested negative for both Gestational Diabetes and Anemia so that's great news! On a funny note...the nurse called to give me my results while I still had kids in class. I answered very quickly since they were just getting ready for the end of the day. I told them that I got good news about the orange drink that I had to drink in class the day before and explained that I was still able to eat Sour Patch Kids. (About the only way they can understand Diabetes at this point.) And hahahhaha, a little boy raises his hand and goes, "Can boys get that problem if their wife has a baby?!?!" I told him no and he goes, "Oh thank goodness. I reallllllly like to eat candy too." How cute is that? :)
On the horizon in about a week and a half is our first shower at my mom's! Can't wait! Should be fun and exciting to see a lot of friends and family members get together to celebrate Madelyn's expected arrival. And yes, I insisted on baking for my own shower... You guessed it: CAKE BALLS!!!! YUM!!! :) I don't know that I could do without them...

Below are some pictures of some fun things that have happened lately that I have to share! Below is a picture of a few of my online friends and I that I've gotten to know very well over the past year. We all had pregnancy losses last year and have kept in contact almost daily through the whole process of trying to have another baby. It was so nice to finally meet them face to face last weekend! We had so much fun! And as you can see from the picture, we're all expecting within about a month of each other. So the next time we meet up, we'll have three more at the table as well!

Above is a picture of Madelyn's new bathing suits for Hawaii in July! Aren't they sooo cute? Additionally, there is a yellow Hawaiian romper for her as well.

And here is Gizmo. Caught in Madelyn's room, in her bouncy seat. She's making herself comfortable now...We'll see how she feels when she has to give that seat up?!?
