Back to school: My Classroom

Back to school, back to school...It's that time! Our first teacher in-service day is tomorrow. The kiddos come two days later. I took a few pics this year to share with those of you that haven't been to my room before. I'm pretty much ready to go at this point, I just need my students to come and fill up those empty seats! Keep your fingers crossed for us this year: As of right now the air conditioning is still not fixed... Whew! Gonna be some hot days, that's for sure! Here is my favorite chair. It's a glider and sooo comfy! Later in the year when the kids read to the class, they get to sit in it as well. To the right of the chair you can seem my Morning Message board. Each morning the kids come in and read a letter that I write to them each day.

Each day after lunch we do our calendar activities. This includes the days of the weeks, tally marks, place value for the day of the school year, etc. Also you can see the kids' behavior chart in the bottom right hand corner. They're all on green! :)

Neat little rows for now! Haha you should see them by the end of the day!

I recently re-labled and re-sorted all of my books in our classroom library. It took a long time but will be worth it this year!
