Madelyn went "swimming" for the first time yesterday! I'll be honest, it's quite an undertaking to get her into the pool but to keep her completely covered from the sun since she can't wear sunscreen for another 3 months! I swear it was as if she was dressed for winter! She had on her bathing suit, a rash guard top, pants, her sunhat, and for a few seconds, her sunglasses. That's a lot!
Here she is: wide eyed and ready to go!
She did okay for a few minutes but considering that she can't sit up on her own yet I think she was a little uncomfortable just leaning back in the float.
"MOM! I can't see with this hat on!!!"
And a few minutes later: "Get me out of here Mom!" I think she lasted about 8 minutes or so. We'll build from there! :)
