Timmy's Birthday Pictures

What a day it has been. I had pretty much been a mess since the minute that I got out of bed this morning. Thank goodness that I had arranged to take the day off and have Madelyn stay home with me. I'd try to collect myself but then fall apart again a few minutes later. I had told Mads that I might be a little bit sad today so she just cuddled with me a lot and kept petting my face as if she knew how to make it better. Adam and I had talked about meeting at the cemetary around 10:45 today so off we went and I can honestly say that it was the BEST thing that we could have done. It made all of us feel better to celebrate in a happy way instead of being so sad here at home. The weather was just gorgeous and I couldn't have been prouder of Mads as she let her balloons go for Timmy. She is SUCH a good big sister to him. To top it off, an entire flock of geese were just yards away from where Timmy is buried. How cool is that? It was almost odd/eerie/ironic that today of all days they were there, just hanging out, to greet us while we were there. They stayed the ENTIRE time, almost as to comfort us. Thank you to Timmy for sending them for us to see and sending us away with a better and happier, peaceful feeling about his birthday today. This doesn't mean that my crying is over for the day of course but I do feel a LOT better about the day after having had the chance to celebrate his birthday on such a pretty day with Adam and Madelyn.
