Madelyn's fast delivery!

WOW!!! She's here!! She beautiful! Madelyn Harper Cahill was born at 6:42 pm, weighing 8 lbs 4 oz and measuring in at 20 inches. I think we all (including the dr.) were surprised by how big she is! :)


Last time we posted I was at 6cms and that was around 4:00 or so. After that I was starting to feel a little nauseous so they gave me some medicine to help. I slept for about an hour and then started watching Jerry McGuire with Adam. Low and behold when my dr. came in at 6:00 I was 10 cms and her head was suuuuuper low he said. So he looks at Adam and I both and goes, "Well, it's time!" We honestly thought that he was joking! We couldn't believe that so much progress had been made in just two hours! I started pushing a little bit after 6:10 and she came at 6:42! I can't complain at all! My epidural was still in full swing and I truly didn't feel much pain at all. It all happened so quickly from finding out we were ready to her being here. And Adam did an awesome job helping out! He was in charge of one of my extremely useless legs and all of the counting for the pushes. Good job honey!

So far Madelyn has met my mom, dad, and sister, had her Apgar tests done (9 out of 9!!!), and been given a bath. We're so happy that she's finally here and can't wait to get to know her!
