Zoo Trip #2

Last Saturday the weather was great so after Madelyn's second nap, we hopped into the car and went to the zoo. We got there around 4:05 only to be told that the zoo closes at 5:00. Oh.... Well we made it a super fast walking trip and still managed to see a lot! Can't wait for the weather to warm up so that we can go back again! Here is Madelyn in her stroller as we got ready to go in. Most of the animals were very active when we were there, including the gorillas! This one was walking all around!

When we went into the insect house, we set Madelyn on the scale to see how many insects she weighed. Any guesses?

Well there's the number. She weighed in at 2,562, 054 insects. That's a lot of bugs!

Here, Madelyn enjoys a ride on Dad's shoulders. She LOOOVES when he does this! Gets a great laugh every time!

One of the neatest parts of the day was seeing the lions be so active! Two of them in the video above were roaring up a storm for us! It was really cool to hear! I'd never seen them do anything like that in person!
