Gizmo update:

There is my Gizmo...I've had her for over 8 years now. She's a super sweet kitty! Very cute and petite and good snuggler too! However sometimes at night she can be almost tooooo loving, particularly to Adam. I have tried to tell him time after time that it's just his "animal magnetism" that makes him so attractive to her but he doesn't buy it. :) Below is the "plan" that we've implemented...
As far as Gizmo goes, Adam and I have now created our own little "barricade" to keep her out of our room. At night, Madelyn's door to her room will be closed as will ours so we're starting the "training" early to get Giz used to the idea and honestly so far she's done really well. I'm pretty proud of her as she's been sleeping with me for about 8 years and with Adam and I for over two! We set up two of our huge, red couch pillows in front of our bedroom door and turn on a fan that points down the hallway. Sounds like a lot to do but she honestly hasn't bothered us much at all and still seems to be a happy kitty when I see her in the mornings, so, so far, so good! Maybe in another month or so we'll try it without the pillows and see what happens as far as scratching and pawing at the door....
