22 weeks = Papaya week & some Thanksgiving pics.

Can you believe it? Wow! 5 and a half months already! It's crazy to be on the other side of the halfway mark. It's so fun to be thinking more and more about when Madelyn will get here. As of Thanksgiving break, the nursery is now painted and Madelyn's mural is half finished. It's taken me about 3 hours so far and the charlie horses that I had in my legs last night were due to standing on a chair for too long I think, haha! Ouch! I had never had those before! Additionally, Adam, my dad, I (mostly the two of them) successfully have put together all of her furniture as well. It looks gorgeous! We're very happy with it! The only down side has been that when we opened up her glider yesterday, they had sent us one with dark brown suede cussions! EW! Not the light pink that we had ordered at all! We'll be taking the chair back tonight and re-ordering. Hopefully it doesn't take too long to get another one!How Madelyn's growing:At 11 inches (the length of a spaghetti squash) and almost 1 pound, she is starting to look like a miniature newborn. Her lips, eyelids, and eyebrows are becoming more distinct, and she's even developing tiny tooth buds beneath his gums. Her eyes have formed, but her irises (the colored part of the eye) still lack pigment. If you could see inside, you'd be able to spot the fine hair (lanugo) that covers her body and the deep wrinkles on her skin, which she'll sport until she adds a padding of fat to fill them in. Inside her belly, her pancreas — essential for the production of some important hormones — is developing steadily.
Here is a picture of Adam and I from Thanksgiving this past week. Our two Thanksgivings were delicious! I also celebrated my 29th birthday which might just be the last one that I acknowledge. I can't believe that I'll be 30 next year! That's craaaazy! Below is a picture of all of the delicious desserts from Thanksgiving.
