Been an interesting few days...

Sunday was an interesting day that's for sure. Sorry for TMI (too much information) but with all morning/day diarrea that was only rivaled by the time I had campylo chicken bacteria in college, it was a horrible day. Then I threw up on top of it and I had a slight fever. I had been in touch with a nurse earlier in the day to ask about what to do but when I called back to say what had developed they wanted me to come in to the Labor & Delivery unit at the hospital and get some fluids in me so I would not get more dehydrated from not being able to keep anything down. With stomach/intestinal issues the dehydration that they cause is basically the biggest threat to an unborn baby. Madelyn sounded good on the monitors and they gave me tylenol for my cramps, 2 IV bags and some anti-nausea stuff in them. I also have a perscription for the anti-nausea here at home. What they gave me did allow me to sleep really well and as of yesterday I was feeling better... Until today. The fun started all over again. Went to my o.b. doctor and he said that I'm doing a good job of keeping hydrated so that's good. Hopefully by tomorrow afternoon they will know if what I have is treatable with antibiotics or not. At this point, I just want to feel better and hopefully stop worrying! So far they keep telling us that Madelyn's fine but worrying is just par for the course anymore it seems like. Hoping to feel better soon and be off of my crackers/bananas/gatorade diet!
