Adam and I both love Christmas movies! We really do have a lot and we start watching them after Thanksgiving to put us in the Christmas Spirit. One of my all time favorites since I have been little is Santa Claus: The Movie. It is the one pictured below with Dudley Moore and John Lithgow. Honestly a classic that has been around for as long as I can remember. And when I met Adam I couldn't believe that he remembered it and loved it too! We have it on DVD so hopefully Madelyn will enjoy it in the years to come as well! I remember waiting for it to be on tv every year when I was little. Anyone else remember it?

Another favorite would be the ANIMATED version of How the Grinch Stole Christmas. I have to say that the Jim Carry version just didn't do it for me. But the animated version is just awesome! It's always on TBS a few times each year and on one of the regular channels as well. I think Adam and I actually caught it on before Thanksgiving this year? But the more viewings the better. I have this version at school and each year I teach the kids about mental images and descriptive language before we read the book several times, do a book report, interview their family members about their memories of the Grinch, and then finally watch it on DVD. They love it each year!

And finally, a new favorite of mine is an old favorite of Adam and his entire family. The first time I (tried) to watch it was with Adam and his grandma. I must have had too much to eat (maybe the yummy chilli?) because I fell asleep half way through it and they were both in shock that 1.) I had never seen it and 2.) I had the nerve to fall asleep! Haha, they laughed at me. But since then I've seen it a solid five times though and I really do love it. It's funny and the music is great. And Adam went to something like 5 different stores this year to find it for me for my birthday. Gotta love my husband. :)

What are some of your favorite Christmas movies that you love to watch each year?
